Description of Project: The Government of Bangladesh, with the financial assistance of the Asian Development Bank has undertaken a project through Bangladesh Water Development Board under Ministry of Water Resources for retiring embankment construction of flashing inlets, sluice gate with a view to enhance crop production and fish cultivation inside the embankment by protecting overtopping of the flood water during high tide. The purpose of the project is to strengthen embankment, construct sluice gate, flashing inlets and formation of water management association with the project beneficiaries. Here KMC Ltd. worked as sub-consultant to DevCon Under this project, KMC Ltd conducted necessary social surveys and prepared Resettlement Plan (RP).
