 Detailed Narrative Description of Project:

Gazipur City Corporation needs to construct two bridges over the river Turag at Kashimpur point to integrate Kashimpur upazila town, growing industrial enterprises and marketplace western part of the city with the main Gazipur City area. JICA agreed to undertake feasibility study of Bridges over the Turag at downstream of the existing bridge. The FSMP Team of CGP responsible for feasibility study investigated possible alternative alignments by repeated visits and discussions with GCC and local stakeholders. Here KMC Ltd. worked as sub-consultant to PADECO Co. Under this project, KMC Ltd. the subcontractor is engaged to conduct Social safeguard survey works and preparation of a draft RAP for the Turag Bridge 1 and 2 and associated approach Roads subproject No. 7 in Gazipur.
