Detailed Narrative Description of Project:

A new flyover of the railway station and tracks at Joydebpur junction station within the Gazipur City Corporation management area. JICA agreed to undertake feasibility study and parliamentary design of the flyover project. Now the consultant is responsible for carrying out the feasibility study and investigating all possible alignments by repeated visits and discussions with GCC and other relevant Gov. agencies. Here KMC Ltd. worked as sub-consultant to PADECO Co. Under this project, KMC Ltd. the subcontractor is engaged to conduct Social safeguard survey works and preparation of a draft RAP for the Gazipur Flyover and surrounding road network Improvement subproject (No. 8). 

Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided by your Staff:

- Inventory survey of affected persons, households and communities

- Socio-economic impacts, household survey, census of PAPs

- Land Acquisition and Resettlement Survey

- Market price survey Conduct Consultation meetings

- Preparation of a draft RAP

- Develop and manage a complete database for the project

- Provide technical support in relocation and resettlement in the resettlement sites
