Detailed Narrative Description of Project:

Bangladesh Water Development Board has recently undertaken theproject: “Coastal Embankment Improvement Project Phase-1 (CEIP-I)”.This project is divided into three packages; Package 1, 2 & 3. Assignment includes LAP & RAP preparation for package 2 and 3 and RAP Implementation package 1, 2 & 3) in 17 polders under 13 Upazilas under 7 districts Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Jhalikathi, Borguna&Patuakhali District. Aim of the project is to strengthen construction of retired embankment (618 km), drainage sluice and flashing inlets, etc. Under this project, KMC Ltd. is working as sub-consultant to DevCon to prepare Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), Land Acquisition Plan (LAP), Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and Implementation of the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP).
