Narrative Description of Project:
Government of Bangladesh identified some projects for potential investment under ADB funding. These along with others modes of transport will contribute to development of national, regional and eventually international economy and trade. The components are:
- Conversion of Tongi- Bhairab Bazar-Akhaura MG double track into DG double track (Approx. 104 km);
- Conversion of Laksam- Chinki Astana-Chittagong MG double track into DG double track (Approx. 130 km);
- Proposed Dhirasram to Pubail Railway connection and proposed ICD at Dhirasrom;
