Narrative Description of Project:

The Government of Bangladesh (GoB) has authorized the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) to develop a 279.9MW Gas-fired Combined Cycle Power Plant (the Project) on a site owned by BPDB in Bhola, Bangladesh. The project is financed by the Asian Development Bank. The purpose of the project is to establish a gas-fired combined cycle power plant to reduce scarcity of electricity in Bangladesh. Here KMC Ltd. worked as sub-consultant to EQMS. Under this project, KMC Ltd. conducted census and IOL survey, consultation meetings, property valuation survey and prepared Due Diligence Report and Resettlement Plan (RP).

- Conducted socioeconomic survey using structured questionnaire and visiting house to house

- Conducted market survey of the affected properties using structured questionnaire

- Conducted video filming of the affected properties

- Prepared sketch maps (not-to scale) for the proposed sites
