 Narrative Description of Project:

The Government of Bangladesh, with the financial assistance of the World Bank undertook a project through Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) to establish an Export Processing Zone at Meghn Ghat area under Gazaria Upazila of Munshiganj district. Here KMC Ltd. worked as sub-consultant to Dev Con. Under this project, KMC Ltd. was employed to prepare Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) following WB OP 4.12.

Description of Actual Services Provided by your Staff:

- Developed survey tools

- Conducted socioeconomic survey using structured questionnaire and inventory of losses

- Conducted consultation meetings with affected people and other stakeholders

- Video filming of the structure and other affected properties

- Prepared sketch maps (not-to scale) for the proposed sites 

- Develop database based on survey data

- Prepared Resettlement Plan
