Narrative Description of Project:
The Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project (PMBP) is undertaken by Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) and financed by GOB located at Mawa-Janjira point of the Padma River. The project has to acquire about 1103 ha land for execution of its components including approach road, river training, resettlement sites, stake yard, etc. A total of five resettlement plans have been prepared for the project those are now under implementation. ESDO and KMC ltd. is working in JV to conduct the activities of Implementation of Resettlement Action Plan (RAP).
Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided by our Staff:
- RAP implementation
- Assist the Inventory Verification Committee (IVC) to ascertain actual quantity of losses were required
- Conduct focused group meetings (FGD)
- Participate in Grievance Redress Mechanism
- Develop and manage a complete database for the project
- Provide technical support in relocation and resettlement in the resettlement sites
- Assist EPs in getting compensation from DC office and BBA
