Narrative Description of Project:

Bangladesh Water Development Board has recently undertaken the project called “River Bank Improvement Project (RBIP)”.Under the project; 183 km embankment will be improved and constructed a two-lane highway road from Sirajganj to Kurigram to protect the river bank from erosion and strengthen transport as well as to provide safer transportation at Bogra, Sirajgonj, Gaibandha and Kurigram districts. Moreover, another important part of this project is to improve the livelihood, gender, communication and health condition of the project affected peoples. Here KMC Ltd. worked as sub-consultant to Ficthner. In this project and conducted necessary social surveys and prepared Social Assessment report, Resettlement Action Plan, Income Livelihood Restoration Plan, Consultation report, Gender Action Plan, Communication Strategy and Public Heath Action Plan for the project.
