Detailed Narrative Description of Project:

The project is a 50 MW ac / 62.5 MW dc located at Dimla Upazila of Nilphamari district under Rangpur Division in the northern Bangladesh. Scatec Solar ASA is the majority sponsor through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) established in Bangladesh in December 2017. The project site is 245 acres of land with 195 acres approved for the solar PV plant and the remaining 50 acres to be used for resettlement purposes of project affected households (PAHs). The project will be operational for 20 years at a fixed tariff paid by the utility.

The Project acquired 185 acres of land out of the required 245 acres as of December 2020 and remaining land procurement is in process and anticipated to be finalized in February 2021. Final confirmation of the exact number of users / owners and assets lost will be obtained after completion of the Land & Asset Survey and finalization of the resettlement action plan (RAP) and livelihood restoration plan (LRP).
