Narrative Description of Project:

The Government of Bangladesh (GOB) has received a Bangladesh Climate Change Resilience Fund (BCCRF) to undertake this project for construction of cross dam. It is expected that the proposed cross dam will reclaim 9336 ha of landmass within seven years after constructing the cross dam. Here KMC Ltd. worked as sub-consultant to DevCon and provided consultancy services for updating and finalizing the detailed feasibility level of the Uri Char and Noakahli cross dam and tender designs in first phase, and provides a detailed design and implementation plan.

Description of Actual Services Provided by your Staff:

- Developed survey tools, conducted socioeconomic survey using structured questionnaire,

- Conducted Participatory Rapid Assessment study,

- Conduct stakeholders’ consultation meetings

- Conduct market survey of the affected properties using structure questionnaire,

- Conduct land survey and prepared plot schedule, digitized mouza maps, conduct geo referencing,

- Conduct video filming of the structure and other affected properties,

- Develop database based on survey data,

- Prepared Poverty and Social Impact Assessment,
