Narrative Description of Project:

The Government of Bangladesh, with the financial assistance of the ADB has undertaken a project through Bangladesh Water Development Board under Ministry of Water Resources for Retiring and re-sectioning of embankment with a view to enhance crop production and fish cultivation inside the embankment by protecting overtopping of the flood water during highest flood. Here KMC Ltd. worked as sub-consultant to DevCon. Under this project, KMC Ltd. conducted census and IOL survey, consultation meetings and prepared Resettlement Plan (RP) following ADB safeguard Policy.

Description of Actual Services Provided by your Staff:

- Developed survey tools

- Conducted socioeconomic survey using structured questionnaire and visiting house to house

- Prepared sketch maps (not-to scale) for the proposed sites 

- Develop database based on survey data

- Prepared resettlement action plan (RAP)
